Ah yes, imagery to conjurer up recollections of our final withdrawal from Vietnam.

The problem? Well although we did use helicopters, they were US helicopters, not Soviet-era Mi-24 "Hind" gunships.

We might want to get our media some updated flash-cards with aircraft silhouettes such as those used in WWII to train people in aircraft identification.

Or they could hire some ex-military as consultants so they could at least appear somewhat more credible when discussing military matters.

... Nah.

Well I was having a Kalinkin Russian beer (its not bad and they’ve been making it since 1795). When it comes to things made in Russia, drinking one is like staying in a Holiday Inn Express.

In this case, however, I didn’t do the nitpicking ... I just commented on it. But then, your powers of discernment never have been particularly noteworthy, have they Pogue? ;)

It’s also interesting to me, who gets defended, and who does not, when it comes time to decide what is and is not "nitpicking".
