Crude and ineffective
Posted by: McQ on Thursday, August 09, 2007

Ye gods, did this guy really think he could get away with this.

Ed Morrissey catches a guy red-handed trying use race baiting against Fred Thompson. It is so bad it is almost laughable.

Says Ed:
It doesn't take long for provocateurs to crawl out of the woodwork to attack candidates, especially in stealth attacks. With Fred Thompson, they've apparently started before he officially enters the race — and in one case, race is the operative word. Apparently hoping to confuse web surfers looking for Fred's website at www.imwithfred.com, a new site has appeared at www.imwithfred2008.com — only this site welcomes people to the Ku Klux Klan, "Bringing a Message of Hope and Deliverance to White Christian America!" It includes links to a variety of disgusting racist sites.
Go check it out. My guess is Mr. Henry F Reynolds of Santa Monica CA is going to end up being unhappy that he tried this bit of crudity. It reflects so well on "progressives" after all.

I disagree... The "progressives" will absolutely love him!

After all, these are the same people who still insist that Mapes and Rather were right, still insist that "Bush lied, people died", still insist that Bush/Cheney are preparing to declare ’martial law’(just like 2004 and 2006); and still insist that ’sodomy with a cigar’, sexual harassment, and serious misogyny was just a blowjob...

If he’s as lucky as all four(?) of the Gleen Grunwalds that currently exist— he can write a "best-seller" and have his work read on the Senate floor.

They’ve changed it now.

It links to a wiki biography of Marxist Professor Fredric Jameson.

Perhaps, Bruce, they don’t care whether not they can "get away with it" . Consider the many ploys that we have seen of late in support of leftist ideas. The Beauchamp ploy comes to mind. Joe Wilson/Valarie Plame. Hadditha vs John Murtha. Etc, etc, etc.

In each case, the facts eventually overrode the accusations the left made. But in each case, the myth lives on, despite having been debunked. Given this, perhaps they’re not all that worried about being disprove in, anymore. All that remains is to get the ideas and images out there... even if this proven, the image projected has already done damage.
