How to make friends and influence people

Or, 'timing is everything':
Eco-tourists on a whale-watching vessel, looking forward to observing the mighty creatures in their natural habitat, were instead greeted by the sight of a harpooned whale being dragged in by a Japanese whaling vessel on Friday.

At about 10:44 a.m. on Friday, a whale was spotted spraying water from its blowhole near a whaling boat, about 3.5 kilometers away from the whale-watching vessel off the coast of Hokkaido's Shiretoko Peninsula. But when the vessel approached, the passengers on board found that the whalers had harpooned the Baird's beaked whale, and it was hauled in by the whaling boat about 20 minutes later.

About 20 passengers on the whale-watching vessel looked on, voicing their pity as the whale was captured. A French woman who was on the vessel with her husband reportedly said the experience made her feel ill.

There were two other whale-watching boats nearby, but one of them left after a child started crying.
I wonder if refunds were in order.

"Oh, this is the whale watching group. Sorry about that".

the captains of the watcher boats should have known the other boats were whalers. Should of gotten out of there.

They saw a whale, didn’t they?

What? Why are you looking at me like that?

It’s a lot easier to see a whale, I’ll bet, when it’s been harpooned and can’t dive.

Well, at least they only ’captured’ the whale. Think what a wailing and gnashing of teeth there would have been had the whale actually been injured.

Yeah, that’s right, I said it, (Wailing etc.), and I make no apologies!

Almost as funny that old video of the seals being released into the wild, and the Killer Whale eating them all...

Oh the crying and woe from the eco-loons... You can almost taste their sweet, sweet tears of sorrow...

Wait. Didn’t some of you agree that Micael Vick should go to jail for what he did? What’s the dif?

As for me, I am reminded of a particular scene in Napoleon Dynamite:

"What’s the dif?"

Vick didn’t eat the dogs, nor did he dispatch them in a humane way, such as impaling them on a long, sharp, barbed stick.
