Luciano Pavarotti, dead at 71
Posted by: McQ on Thursday, September 06, 2007

I don't know what type music you may like or whether you ever had the opportunity to listen to Luciano Pavarotti, but in my estimation, the world lost one of its all time great voices today:
Luciano Pavarotti, the Italian tenor whose clarion lyric voice and performances from concert houses to outdoor stadiums made him a pop icon and the most famous opera singer since Enrico Caruso, has died. He was 71.
I've never been a fan of opera, but I remember the first time I ever heard Pavarotti, I was channel surfing back in the '80s and came across a program on which he was singing. I don't remember what he was singing or any other particulars anymore, but I do remember I was entranced. I sat there for 30 minutes, completely enthralled with his magnificent voice and its range. He was truly blessed as were those who had the opportunity to hear him.

RIP Luciano Pavarotti.

I think it’s "Pavarotti." At any rate, it’s an unbelievable coincidence, but I was YouTubing this weekend and stumbled on a bunch of uploads of his stuff, never having done so before.

Get a load of this.
