I don’t recall getting a phone call from Harry on this question. Has someone already done the poll to see if this is acceptable to the American people, or is Harry talkin out his @ss again?
Perhaps we ought to bring home 30,000 and deploy the remainder to Okinawa. |

Reid needs more help from his base. They need to get busy killing more American troops in Baghdad to help him out. |

Do something about it? Given the Senate GOP’s filibusters, what can he do about it? |

Do something about it? Given the Senate GOP’s filibusters, what can he do about it? He can sit there and reflect on the filibusters he had no problem with when he was in the minority.
After all Scott, the filibuster is an important tool in making sure the minority has a fair and equitable say in the governing decisions (TM- New York Times)
And when he’s done with that, he can also reflect on how much easier it is to sit on the sidelines and snipe than it is to actually govern. |

Actually, he could sponsor a bill to defund the War in Iraq and force the Repubs to filibuster it. Then we could see where the American public really stands, but my guess is that Dingy Harry knows this better than Scott does. All Harry has to do is be honest. Tell the American public that pulling out is more important than anything else and prove it by refusing to fund the war. Then the public will be forced to support the Dems or the Repubs. I know which way I’d guess, but your mileage may indeed vary. Whining is so-o-o-o-o-o-o unattractive, whether done by a Majority Leader or by a Professor. |

But the NYT also said it was "archaic rule that frustrates democracy and serves no useful purpose" (oh wait, that was in response to Republican use of it).
