Who is "we"?
Posted by: McQ on Saturday, October 13, 2007

I'm as big a fan of "A Band of Brothers" as the next guy. I thought it was fabulous. And I don't say that about many "war movies". And I'm as pleased as I can be that two of that band, William Guarnere and Edward Heffron, both in their 80s, have written a book about their experiences, entitled "Brothers in Battle: Best of Friends," recently published by the Berkley Publishing Group. I'll probably buy it and look forward to reading it.

And I even thought the article about them and their book was pretty darn good - except for one line. This one:
And the book comes at just the right time, says Berkley's Natalee Rosenstein. "It's a period of time when we're all looking for real heroes," she said.
Oh really?

C’mon, McQ, you know better. There haven’t been any ’real’ heroes since The Greatest Generation fought ’The Good War’. Since then, we have all been lazy, corrupt, greedy, and self-centered, interested only in acquiring more material goods at the expense of the rest of the world.

The thing that is twisted is the leftists will look at that inconsistency and start to find a ways to demonize the US role in WWII and her soldiers as well.

You know its coming one day.
