"Nothing's the same anymore."

Captain James T. Kirk

Commander Spock

Lieutenant Commander (Dr.) Leonard "Bones" McCoy

Lieutenant Commander Montgomery Scott

Lieutenant Nyota Uhura

Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu

Ensign Pavel Chekov

It had to be done, of course, but this is like, ten times worse than the way they replaced Darren on "Bewitched".

Bonus points to anyone who knows where the first line of this post came from.

I don’t know about those bonus points, but it sounds like you’ve looked into the face of a Vorlon.

Well, looks like more than Sulu is gay this time.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Babylon 5, not sure who said it (I believe it was Sinclair)

Sinclair uttered it just before the season in which he was mysteriously reassigned and Sheridan showed up, I think.

Embrace the geekdom.

Kirk said it to McCoy, in the first movie, after McCoy gave Kirk his glasses and they got into a reflective conversation.

Actually, casting the Sylar guy to play Spock looks pretty spot on to me.

And Uhura is slammin.

The rest.......................eh

The guy playing Chekhov is a guy that some in Hollywood are banking on to be a huge star. He is a very good actor. Check out "Alpha Dog."

How are we supposed to tell Kirk, Spock, and McCoy apart? Shirt color alone, I guess.

shark, I’m not going to be able to watch the movie without thinking that Spock is simply going to rip off someone’s top of their head with his finger.

How do we know he didn’t?

:)

I agree, I like Spock and Uhura, and I think the new Sulu might be ok...

The rest I just don’t know about...

I hate the choice for Scotty...

Wow. Lots of B5 fans reading the blog, apparently.

Yes, it was Sinclair who said it in the last episode of Season 1.

It was also used in the montage of quotes in the season five intro.

B5 rocks.

And in re: what the new crew of the Enterprise looks likes: surely the issues isn’t, ultimately, whether they look exactly like Shater, et al, but how well they act (and how good the screenplay ultimately is).

Scotty should be entertaining— heck if Pegg seized control of the entire process and fashioned it in his usual style I might actually be convinced to watch the cursed thing...

Of course, "it had to be done". There’s still Trekkies out there, and it’s impossible for them to find each one, pick him up, turn him upside down, and shake the money out of his pockets.
