Coyote (Warren Meyer) has written a fantastic paper entitled, "A Layman’s Guide to Man-Made Global Warming" that devastates many of the "AGW is a crisis" claims. He also has summaries of his paper strewn throughout his fairly new blog climate-skeptic.com.

I read the article at Think Progress. I’m not sure just where Coleman is "discredited" as the headline proclaims. The article says that Coleman claimed to be an expert in climate change...and I can’t find Coleman claiming that anywhere, he consistently holds himself out as a weatherman or meteorologist. |

Coleman’s is an opinion piece, not a scientific paper. TP has to bend the truth a bit to mischaracterize the post. Otherwise it can’t take the wingnuts to task for believing the guy (and that’s the whole purpose of their post to begin with). So, using their dart-board of pejorative terms, they settled on "discredited". Doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, just so it fulfills the necessities of the agenda. |

That can usually be found in the first couple of sentences in most posts - if you actually read them:I think he voices the opinion of many AGW skeptics, myself included... Note the key word, underlined so it’s easy to identify.
It was even reemphasized in the sentence following the quote, again underlined for easy identification:Now this is all opinion ... I assume by now that you understand the context is about his opinion concerning AGW and how others share that opinion and why.
I assume you asked TP why he was discredited just to be fair, no? |

John Coleman, Could not have written this. He would have to be a certified jackass to make such an uninformed and childish claim that he, a nobody, knows more than anybody else! He is not saying this is his opinion (which no one has asked him for, nor is opinion indicated in such a serious matter) he is saying "This is my field of life-long expertise." It most certainly is not his expertise by any stretch of imagination. He started the weather channel, wow then all the scientists and people who know what they are talking about should back off. We should listen to Rush or Dennis Miller and laugh this off as a joke. John Coleman is incensed wow well then that is different, yeah I see his point " challenging a Nobel Prize, Academy Award and Emmy Award winning former Vice President of United States " yeah, I get it he suddenly has super powers far above those of mortal men! What a schmuck! This kind of slimy crap is irresponsible and dangerous. |

OH PLEASE!!!!! I’m 52 yrs. old and have been hearing about this most of my life...of course, under several different names. Al Gore should be ashamed of himself the way he distorted so many facts. Nobel Prize...give me a break. What does he know about global warming? He can’t even spell potato...at least John Coleman has some education in the area.
Anyways, running out of fresh water is gonna kill us before global warming. Someone better start coming up with ideas about that. HEY...maybe if the alarmists are right we can just get water from the melting polar ice caps!!!! |

This topic is not a joke! I’ve been seeing many opinions on the subject of Anti-Global Warming but not scientific research OR logical and rational argumentative writings to refute Global Warming. John Coleman says he has studied the subject and found Global Warming concern to be a scam. Fine. Are we to take his word for it? I want to see evidence, research or some sustainable logic to support Anti-Global Warming. Not opinion. |
