Based on the poll, the message more or less remains the same: Democrats and independents are upset at the Dems in congress for not acting stronger against the war. You’re assuming that the entire low mark on immigration is anti-immigration sentiment. I don’t pretend that’s not the majority of it, but especially among Dems and independents there’s a non-trivial amount who are also upset a comprehensive plan like McCain-Kennedy didn’t pass. |

well capt joe, i’ve no doubt that oliver is correct (at least on the war part). I just don’t think he can know what percentage of the independents are disappointed for the same reason that dems are or the same reason the reps are. |
