Politicians on crack
Posted by: McQ on Monday, December 03, 2007

Ever wonder why people usually have a low opinion of most politicians? Ever wonder what goes on in the misfiring synapses of some of our "leaders" when they contemplate what they're going to say about something?

Yeah, me too:
"The surge hasn't accomplished its goals," Harry Reid said. "... We're involved, still, in an intractable civil war."
You go, Harry.

Heh ... some things are as predictable as sunrise.

Talking points are usually updated as situations change, but apparently Harry didn't get the memo. Will someone kindly refer him to John Murtha's office so he can get with the program?

The question I have; is Reid really this out of touch OR is he running point on a fresh campaign to deride our efforts in Iraq? I feel it’s the latter. Keep an eye on the Dems over the next few weeks and see if they fall in line.

I dont know when it will happen but eventually, all the tacit support, all the softball questions, and all the burying of ledes the MSM provides the left will come back to haunt. It makes for lazy minds, and incompentent representitives (as if that is not a problem already). Sen Reid and Rep. Pelosi are prime examples mostly of the first. But when one ventures into real stupidity, the media can not not will not provide cover (think Cynthia McKinney)- even they are not that stupid. Reid is on the cusp of the later.

As I said in my e-mail to McQ...

"Yeah, no one saw that coming. When you’re utterly commited to idea we are/will lose Iraq (and have hitched your political star to that dream), you pretty much have to do this."

Harry Reid’s name will go down in history right next to Willie E. Cyote, super genius.
