Today he called a room full of reporters together and told them that he had decided he was going to refuse to go negative in the campaign anymore. And, to prove that, he announced that he was going to pull an attack ad against Mitt Romney which was scheduled to play throughout Iowa. At that point, you say, "wow, how nice, how neat, how unusual". But then Huckabee went on and told the assembled room full of reporters and cameras that he was going to show them the commercial. He then broadcast it for a room crammed with reporters, photographers and television cameras.Hilarious? It is the height of gall if you ask me. Asked if he wasn’t being hypocritical by showing the ad to a roomful of cameras that are likely to record it and show it — for free — around the country, Mr. Huckabee said he was showing it to reporters only because reporters were so cynical that if he didn’t show it, they would not believe that he really had made such an ad.Yeah, right Mike. I'm sure they've never heard of "cynical manipulation" either. If they weren't cynical before you began speaking they're morons if they're not cynical now. Yeesh. Go to the link and watch the two minute video of the news conference. Even Huckabee can't keep a straight face while making the above claim. And no, I don't have the ad video and even if I did, I wouldn't post it (and I'm not even a Romney fan). |
