4,000 PA "security men" will provide security for U.S. President George Bush's visit to Ramallah Thursday. The PA gunmen will spread out in the roads leading to the place where Bush and PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas will meet.

Of course "PA" stands for Palestinian Authority. And George Bush is the head of the government most Palestinians think stand in the way of their getting what they truly want - an end to Israel.

So, does this sound like a good idea to you?

Well, this is why we send in a lame-duck president during an election year.

If anything happens, Cheney takes over - and then McCain or Rudy or whoever promises to kick ass the most wins the election.

Theoretically, the Palestinians know this and wouldn’t want to ruin Obama’s chances.

Assassinating our President on their soil would be a Pyhrric victory for them. Cheney would have no second thoughts about sending in the Navy and Marines, without the approval of Congress.

This is Nth level thinking as far as they’re concerned. All it would take is one gunman thinking that getting Bush would be like winning the lottery. How many worldwide organizations would give him the hero treatment?

’Course he’d be dead soon after and then the conspiracys would start flying... oh, gives me a headache.
