What does it mean to return the province to Iraqi control if the troops are not leaving? The article says the troops are leaving in May, so isn’t that the real turnover time? What are they doing differently from March to May? |

What are they doing differently from March to May? It’ll take that long for US troops to clear the province. Their priority at that time will be vastly different than it is prior to the turnover. |

What the h*ll is everyone ranting about? Iraqi control means fewer of us do more sitting around our bases waiting for the the Iraqis to call for back up if something goes nuts. In the meantime, we check in on the police and army and wait for orders home. They won’t do it our way, but they’ll do it. Try some calm, intelligent discussion, maybe an open mind, you might be surprised. |
