Looks like it is time for a good old fashioned book burning. But this time, instead of the old 1930-40 newsreels of Nazi Germany book burnings, it is the Liberal Left that is goose stepping to the drumbeat of political correctness.
It seems interesting that while "Three Little Pigs" gets such scrutiny while Adolf Hitler’s "Mein Kampf" is on the UKs best selling list, and remains near the top of the best selling lists for virtually the entire Muslim world.
God help someone should be offended unless that someone is chritian (protestant or catholic), jewish, or conservative (Republican or otherwise - I realize the story is about the UK but the effects are the same here).

I get offended when the Muzzein in Oxford England, electronically amplified and broadcast throughout the public for everyone to hear, declares that a pre-medeival Arabian moon-god is the only God and a 7th century brigand and pederast is his prophet. |

No word as to whether the government panel was concerned that it had offended Ms. Curtis. Priceless! |

Note that no one actually claims to have been offended. The mere suggestion that someone might be offended is enough for a group of career busybodies to act. |

Jimmy,
You will be happy to know some Muslims don’t believe the muezzin should use loudspeakers. In fact, one of the rules on building mosques is to do so when you cannot hear another mosque - well with loudspeakers you can now hear several mosques at once in some places - so that could be seen as wrong. Islamic Studies grad student claimed there were even groups who went around wrecking loudspeakers based on this theory. |

It is not just the politically correct UK and US that fear to offend the chronically offended members of Islam. China too, during the Chinese Year of the Pig, falls prey to it.This cartoon pig used in Tenlow’s ads would hardly seem subversive. But CCTV has ordered major advertising agencies not to use pig images, cartoons or slogans "to avoid conflicts with ethnic minorities." That’s a reference to China’s 20 million Muslims, about 2 percent of the country’s population. The reason offered for China’s kowtowing to Muslims in this cultural battle is given as China’s fears of ruffling feathers in Xinjiang, an oil-rich region with a sizable Muslim presence. Sabotage and terrorism on the pipeline are feared. |
