I have created an electoral vote counter hosted online here at QandO. It's available here. It's also permanently linked from the "Resources" section of the sidebar on the left side of the page.

Bookmark it, you political junkies. You know you're gonna use it over and over again.

Oh, it requires the Flash player v9.

Thanks Dale, it’s awesome, already bookmarked. One thing, though, do you think you could put the initials of the tiny east coast states in a different color? The tan/grey/brown (or whatever it is) is a little hard to read against the blue. At least on my browser (Firefox). Anyone else with the same trouble?

The thing I like is how easy it is to play with. Like, for example, to look at how few states you’d have to win to still win the election. Looks like you could win CA,NY,TX,GA,NC,FL,MI,OH,PA,IL,NJ, 11 states, at 51-49, lose the other 39 states 100-0, and you’d still be president. That is simultaneously way cool, and terrifying.

So are they going to buck the convention of alternating political colors this time? I think according to the TV convention, Republicans are Blue this year.
