I hope they tell McCain to go suck a big fat one when he gets on stage... |

I salute your battle against comment spam. I make a modest effort, removing spam from my own threads when I see it, but it’s like trying to sweep back the ocean.
I saw a site the other day - I forget which one - and noticed that it had a counter touting a cumulative 20,000+ legitimate comments. A bit further down was a blurb claiming that Akismet had blocked 280,000 spam comments from the site. Incredible. |

And if, for whatever reason, Senator McCain has no idea what they’re talking about, they can always reference him to his good friends The Clintons. |

Well, it’s clear you’re not on Wordpress, Bruce. (Yeah, I know, just kvetching)
(Curses and tribulations be upon the developer of the “WP Auto Content Generator”, who is herewith declared a sub-human species, one not deserving to use any more air. May the fleas of 1000 rabid camels infest his armpits.)
I’m currently killing off several spams per day, myself, at my place. (Chuckle) I suppose you’ve arrived when they think enough of your readership to spam you.
But I wonder about the ones you say aren’t automated. I assume you’re thinking that since this software is custom in the extreme, that not many will have a plug and play ready spammer, such as the WP plugin I mention. Still, though, scripting isn’t out of the question, if you’re getting that many.
As for McCain at CPAC, Daniel had more luck with the lions than McCain will have there, I think. What can he say now, that anyone there will trust, given his long-established history? |

What can he say now, that anyone there will trust, given his long-established history? Yeah, a lifetime 82.5 from the ACU, an 80 as recently as 2005...while Romney’s record in Massachusetts was rather liberal. Oh wait, that’s not what the ’narrative’ is now being sold on talk radio. Romney’s past is irrelevant, if he says what Rush and the gang tell him to say. McCain’s called a ’liberal’ and ’leftist’ despite his long record. You have your story. Reality is irrelevant. Repeat it over and over and it will become true. All is spin.
That’s what is wrong with American politics. But hey, we’ve had a week of essentially hours long vicious attack ads against McCain by talk radio...if that can’t bring him down, I don’t know what can. |

Why does Erb not surprise me.
The fact that he even attempts to defend McCain is reason enough to go for Romney (which I already did).
McCain at CPAC last hear Snubbed the entire even, and then when he saw how negative the reaction was he showed up, got a hotel room, and said people should come to him.
I wish I could have attended CPAC this year. I have some choice words for Senator McCain.
Words along the line of "F*ck you, liar..." |

The fact that he even attempts to defend McCain is reason enough to go for Romney (which I already did). You are one of very few, it seems. Even if Romney wins California, I think his inability to perform better given all the money he’s spent — and the way Huckabee refuses to die — Romney really doesn’t have a chance. If he doesn’t win California, he might think twice about spending his fortune on a losing cause. |
