Bush more popular than the New York Times
Posted by: McQ on Wednesday, February 27, 2008

Yes indeed, Bill Keller and Pinch Sulzberger have done an excellent job of maintaining the reputation of the Grey Lady:
Just 24% of American voters have a favorable opinion of the New York Times.
Bush, by the NYT's own poll is 6% higher in the approval ratings than the paper.

Yeah, and brussel sprouts don’t suck as much as haggis.

The NYT used to be something, they have committed enough bad journalism to be considered biased by both liberals (Judith Miller WMD, among others) and conservatives (McCain story, among others).

I always preferred WAPO anyway.

Hey wait a minute! I like Brussel sprouts. How can you compare a tasty veggie to something stuffed in stomach lining????? Come on Cap... work with me here.

Bush also is more popular than Congress!

And he’s going to have a much better legacy than Pinch Sulzberger, Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi...

Au contraire mon ami. Le haggis est très délicieux.

You’ve probably just haven’t had it cooked right.

ZagatMahone’s pick for best haggis: Dornie Hotel, Dornie, Scotland.

If I remember correctly, haggis is not on their menu, but if the chef is feeling generous and they’re not too busy, he’ll cook you some of the best haggis you’ll find. Then you can enjoy Scotland’s signature dish while washing it down with some fine Highland Single Malt overlooking the majestic Eilean Donan Castle.

Hope this helps.
You know me, just being helpful.

Cheers.

Take the Whiskey, leave the haggis.

But mark the Rustic, haggis-fed,
The trembling earth resounds his tread.
Clap in his walie nieve a blade,
He’ll make it whissle;
An’ legs, an’ arms, an’ heads will sned,
Like taps o’ thrissle.

Ye Pow’rs wha mak mankind your care,
And dish them out their bill o ’fare,
Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware
That jaups in luggies;
But, if ye wish her gratefu’ prayer,
Gie her a Haggis!

Robert Burns.

Take the Whiskey, leave the haggis.
No haggis with your dram? Perhaps blood pudding, then. No?

Well, though you may not like haggis, you’ll certainly agree that we should at least lift the ban, so as I can get some quality haggis here in the states. Yes?
