This guy is obviously a fraud - he says ’science is not about consensus’. DOesn’t he know ’majority rules’???

Great video!

However, You should watch Professor Joseph LeGuardi’s briefing on the subject.

Professor Erb will probably take issue with his learned colleague.

What was that ? $34 trillion predicted by Al Gore.

Social Security is in the tank for $57 trillion and these flim-flam artists want to spend $34 trillion on something that their too afraid to talk about in mixed company. The Iraq war is still less than $1 trillion over 5 years and they’re blaming the economic slowdown on it. Just what will $34 trillion do to the economy ? Frankly, for the little we will get for $34 trillion, we might as well induce a little nuclear winter .. it will be cheaper.

The real unanswered question .. who will replace Haliburton as the chief war profiteer in the War Against AGWtm ?

Truth is that science no longer drives the IPCC’s AGW crusade. The sad truth is that the new Luddites, the AGW acolytes, are only concerned with installing a neo-feudal system where the entrepreneurial and successful are designated counterproductive (and dangerous) by the new vanguard of the proletariat. Frankly it astounds me how many of my friends and family have bought into this new religion - reason and logic matter not, feel-goodism (and a super-dose of media spurred and societal inspired guilt) drives this compunction. But behind all is an utter, but not surprising, contradictory arrogance that humankind is really, really significant. We cannot do good, but we sure can do bad. Irrational guilt is foisting the sacrifice of the good for the perfect.

I had my 17 yo son watch this for school. He watched the whole thing even when I left the house to run an errand and came back just as the last segment was done. He was impressed.

If this proves nothing else, it certainly provides a heaping dose of perspective.

I’ve been meaning to follow up on this presentation to see if the guy has written more, as even though this presentation is relatively fresh, even since then there have been another couple of big "torpedos", IMHO the biggest one of which is the revelation (documented on QandO earlier) that the oceans aren’t getting warmer. I’ve been waiting to see how that "little tidbit" would be processed by the AGW crowd.

An excellent presentation. I particularly liked the picture of the polar bears having a picnic in the first video;
"Throw another seal on the barbie".

Gore launched the non-profit organization, based in Nashville, Tenn., in June 2006 with the mission of increasing public awareness about the climate-change crisis at a grassroots level in the U.S. and around the world.
I find the idea that Gore could launch a "non-profit" to help support his venture fund investments to be a real stretch of the tax code.
