Not a Harley Guy Any More

Well, for those of you who keep up with the goings on at the other place, this isn't news. But, I've moved on from the noise, vibration, and mediocre power of the Harley.

Yamaha FJR1300AE

The Sporty is gone, and the new FJR1300AE is sitting in the garage.

Moving from 70HP to 146HP has been interesting. Interesting learning how to maneuver at slow speeds without a clutch, too. But I certainly don't miss clutching in heavy traffic.

Can't say enough good things about this bike!

When my ST1100 gives up the ghost (that’ll be awhile, I’m only at 110K now) I’ll decide between a ST13 and an FJR then. Nice bike.

H. Marc, the guy who runs it, has (or had, I can’t keep up) an FJR, and he hosts the FJR info site there, as well as an enormous amount of information pertaining to motorcycles in general.

You know, FJRs really aren’t complete without an IB plate frame.
