Didn’t the Republicans & Democrats split in the past and essentially they suffered short term but in the long run they became the defacto two parties?
Perhaps its time for a split. The RINOs can become the ’New Democrats’ or ’Progressive Conservatives’ and the Rightwing can become the ’New Republicans’.
The way I see it, we’re going to get a split sooner or later in one party or the other. The cause is how far left the Democrat Leadership has gone. But it looks like its Republicans are the ones who are going to get the factured party out of it. No matter, the the Far Left Democrats are the ones who will disappear in the long run. We’ll all be better for it. |

What does this Republican Party stand for? If it’s not individual freedom, limited government, fiscal conservatism, and a strong national defense, then there is nothing in it for me.
McCain is probably going to be about the same as GWB - good on defense and judges, and better than the opposition on the rest. |

McCain is probably going to be about the same as GWB - good on defense and judges, and better than the opposition on the rest. GWB was actually good on guns. He pushed a bill to prevent gun manufacturer lawsuits, and when the Dems infected it with a AWB renewal virus, he asked for it to be killed, making sure that AWB ’94 would fade away. Yet he gets little love from my fellow gun nuts, ’cause he didn’t come out forcefully against the AWB during the 2000 campaign. |
