So barring an asteroid of some sort striking Obama’s campaign, it looks like Obama is the Dem nominee.
Too bad. I don’t know who was the stronger candidate against McCain, but I consider Obama far more dangerous as POTUS. I’d really hoped that Hillary could knock him out and eliminate the possibility. |

The Superdelegates can reverse their decisions. So it doesn’t have to be over until the Convention.
I’m coming to believe Hillary is waiting for the ’video’ and what impact it will have before calling it quits.
I almost think the Michelle Obama video is a dirty trick someone is playing on Hillary. Either to encourage to keep up the party division or to make her hang on and end any push to make her VP or give her a chance to run in 2012. |

The Michelle Obama Rant Tape was filmed between June 26th - July 1st 2004 in Chicago, IL at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference at Trinity United Church: specifically the Women’s Event.
Michelle Obama appeared as a panelist alongside Mrs. Khadijah Farrakhan and Mrs. James Meeks.
Bill Clinton spoke during the Conference, as did Bill Cosby and other speakers, but not at the panel Michelle attended.
Michelle Obama spoke at the Women’s Event, but referenced Bill Clinton in her rant — his presence at the conference was the impetus for her raving, it seems.
For about 30 minutes, Michelle Obama launched into a rant about the evils of America, and how America is to blame for the problems of Africa. Michelle personally blamed President Clinton for the deaths of millions of Africans and said America is responsible for the genocide of the Tutsis and other ethnic groups. She then launched into an attack on “whitey”, and talked about solutions to black on black crime in the realm of diverting those actions onto white America. HillBuzz, I assume, are not a bunch of Republicans. |

Criswell predicts:
With about 70% certainty I predict that Obama will not be the nominee of the Democratic Party.
If he is not the nominee, I predict with about 40% certainty that Hillary Clinton will not be the nominee, either.
If Hillary is not the nominee either, I predict that Evan Bayh and Harold Ford Jr. will be the Democratic Party’s presidential and vice presidential nominees.
My theory is that in the Party only blacks and the radicals want Obama as the nominee, and that many of the Party leaders now understand that Obama is not just a problematic candidate, but a candidate who could completely reverse the rising fortunes of the Democrats. He would be a downticket killer.
There is no way for him to successfully maintain a pretense that he is running to the middle. He is easily portrayed as a Malcolm X/McGovern hybrid.
At the same time Party leaders no longer accept the Clintons’ control of the Party. They want to be rid of the Clintons.
Hence, the superdelegates, whatever their loyalties, will face unacceptable revelations about both Obama and Clinton.
Party leaders will force Obama to withdraw and part of the deal will be that Clinton will not be the nominee, either. The Party leaders will take the nomination process away from the base and select the Bayh-Ford ticket, which will satisfy their mainstream voters and blacks and get rid of their two toxic frontrunners, Obama and Clinton.
Bayh-Ford will take the middle away from McCain, though it would in the end be a close race, and everyone but the radical base will go away happy.
The entire Democratic primary-nomination process of the past year and a half has left the Party at the brink of disaster, with two Neo-Stalinists, one a black nationalist and the other a gangster.
The switch to a couple of liberal boy scouts would be like that scene in David Lean’s film of Dickens’ Great Expectations where Pip tears down the drapes in the grand ballroom of Miss Havisham’s mansion and lets some damn light into the place.
