"Baby Alex" ad
Posted by: McQ on Wednesday, June 18, 2008

I'm sure you've seen this ad:

Two things struck me as I watched this.

1. The left continues with its deliberate mischaracterization of McCain's words about 100 years in Iraq. The irony, of course, is they don't consider such a mischaracterization a smear, but they will be the first to holler should the right do something like this.

2. When "baby Alex" becomes 18-year-old Alex, mom won't have a whole bunch of say should he decide to join the military, will she? This is the usual - but more subtle - attempt by the left to paint our military as children who simply don't know any better.

I also was amused by the claim by MoveOn that all 3 million of its contributors bought in to this appeal to emotion.

3. When "baby Alex" becomes 18-year-old Alex, John McCain will have even less of a say about whether Alex enters the military, either voluntarily or via conscription - he will have been out of office for a minimum of 10 years!

4. By the time Alex becomes 18, McCain may even be no longer of this earth (although his mom looks great for 90+), which would negate even the opportunity to try to talk Alex into signing on.

Good grief.

When he becomes 18, "Baby Alex" will probably run to the recruiting office to get away from his shrew of a mom.

Ads like this emphasize that we’re approaching the "Idiotocracy" tipping point.

Ahh, the Left: Condoms and abortions for our kids, but the line is drawn at military service!

Baby Alex is lucky to be here don’t you think?
He’s already survived being a ’choice’.

But we can’t have him to make a CHOICE at the age of 18...no no no no.
He’s too young.

One more thing. The only way baby Alex will be taken away to fight in Iraq is if there is a draft. The only people who have proposed a draft of late are the Democrats.

Wow, MoveOn.org using a dishonest ad? Who’da thunk it?

My word to "baby Alex"?

Your mother is an a$$hole, plain and simple. And she is a bad actress to boot.

When you become of age, kiddo, run for the hills, unless your mother has already indoctrinated you with her Moron.org Marxist crappola and it is too late for you, too.

In the meantime, can someone spit on this witch? She makes me puke, and she looks like she smells.

It’s too late. John McCain kidnapped poor baby Alex out of his crib last night as he slept. He was issued his M-16 and parachute and was dropped somewhere over Baghdad. Godspeed, little man.

I’m wondering where the cries of "Swiftboating" from the left are.
