Dems and Chavez - two sides of the same coin?

Seems a familiar song, a refrain of which we heard this week from Democrats and on the Cavuto show.

Seems Hugo has nothing on those folks:

[Venezuelan] Minister Yubiri Ortega did not give a direct answer when asked Saturday if the government is planning to nationalize the mines. But she said Venezuela is "taking control" in order to "save and appropriate what is ours."

I remember a slight variation on those very same words in the clip linked above.

Nice.

Oh...so NOW I realize why the American Left, or, for that matter, anyone leftwing enough around the world is not in the least way upset with Chavez:

It is because they want things run in their countries the way Chavez runs Venezuela.

The modern Democratic Party, led by Barack Obama: Bringing Chavezism right to our very own shores.

Remember how Dems want to shut down Fox News because they don’t like what they hear on there? Remind you of Hugo’s moves against his own press?

This crap frightens me - and it should frighten everyone who loves freedom.
