Fuuny, how the group so vocal about religious Christmas cards being sent out by the Bush WH doesn’t seem bothered by these affairs of state.

If the ACLU is going to go after every Christian symbol or hint of one, no matter how tenuously connected to government, seems it should be going after this as well. Besides the pesky fact that the ACLU does nothing of the kind, wouldn’t it just be easier (and far more intellectually consistent) for (purported) libertarians to ask how it is a legitimate function of government to sell calendars of any kind under any circumstances?
P.S. Loved the (now replaced) "Beautiful Muslim Singles for Matrimony" ad. Quite apropos. |

Might have been too nuanced, Kip, but that’s precisely what this purported libertarian is asking. This is inappropriate for any federal governmental agency.
I’m also asking why the organization which would immediately be questioning the State Department about a "2009 Cathedrals of America Wall Calendar: Limited Edition for Christmas" isn’t doing the same concerning this calendar.
I’d have thought you’d have figured that out. |
