This is Hope
Posted by: McQ on Wednesday, July 30, 2008

And this is what it promises to bring you in November:

Any questions?

(HT: Conservatism Today)

[I have one. I assume somewhere, someone actually considers this to be a brilliant ad worth spending big bucks on. If that person could explain that thinking to me, I'd appreciate it.]

If you made all your political decisions on the basis of emotion instead of logic and reason, and if you thought no one could ever get enough of hip irony, then you would think this was a good ad.

I’ve been thinking for months that the Obamarama crew would frequently overreach like this and that Obama was at serious risk of losing because of it. I don’t care how much the left wants to think so, young, hip voters will not decide this election. And Obama has them mostly locked up anyway, so I don’t get why his supporters keep doing stupid $#!+ like this. But apparently they think the whole world thinks the same way they do, so they can’t stop.

It will take a while for me to get my jaw back up off of the floor where it dropped due to the sheer vapidness of that ad . . .

Just wow.

It seems like a parody. Like a "1/2 Hour News Hour" or "Mad TV" type thing.

Its like a parody of the ’yes we can’ video.

The Cobra Commander Parody was better.

Did that say anything? It was clearly superficial, no depth, just more people saying ’hope’. Well, I have hope too. I hope that MoveOn gets a clue.

However much money the McCain campaign had to pay these losers to run the ad was money well spent.

Can’t you just see this commercial ending with ..
This message brought to you by The Church of Latter Day Saints .. the Mormons

Instead it comes from the Morons at MoveOn, who would have laughed at the commercial if it had the alternate ending.

When the evidence is against your fragile reality, use faith.
When you know the evidence will soon be against it, use hope.

The only message I got was that on hope, you turn into a birdbrain.

This commercial reminds me of the eco help group on Pen and Teller’s BS episode for global warming.

Why is it that when lefties’s start talking about their feeling they seem like such utter wimps. Gad, it makes me want to vomit. What a bunch of wusses!

I HOPE they grow a pair.
