I hate nuance. I have never understood what the big deal is about it. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Anything "nuanced" leaves a lot of room for misinterpretation. If that is what you want, fine. It is not what I want.

You are aware that Rick Warren admitted on CNN today that John McCain was NOT in his "cone of silence." This isn’t just Obama whining. Nor is it Andrea Mitchell spreading rumors.
John McCain was apparently stuck in traffic and missed the first 30 minutes of Obama’s time. Since the debate was broadcast live on the radio in Southern California, it’s pretty obvious that McCain listened to Obama’s portion on the radio or, at the very least, had his advisers funnel him information.
I’m sure a correction post will be coming tomorrow. |

What I don’t understand is how could they "flip the coin" if McCain was not there when it all started. I mean, if they indeed flipped the coin, there was a 50% chance that McCain would be late to this event. Is it not extremely arrogant to be half an hour late for your debate? |

Of course McQ knows that McCain wasn’t listening to the questions ahead of time.
How does he know this? He just does.
And you rubes just don’t understand - McQ knows all! |

And not that it matters to McQ - these are facts, after all - but when asked about whether he was in the cone of silence, McCain didn’t bother to mention that he had been in traffic. He said he was trying to "listen through the wall."
Now, if Obama did that, McQ would accuse Obama of being a Black Panther hell-bent on the destruction of America, and not fit for command.
Funny that. |

Oh - and not that it matters - but McCain made a promise to be in a "cone of silence" - a promise that he broke.
Again, if Obama had done the same thing, McQ would be going apesh*t about integrity, blah, blah, blah.

It amuses me when the leftards go apoplectic about Fox news, but never a word about the incredible bias of MSNBC. |

Yeah, it couldn’t be that McCain is always prepared to answer questions relevant to being the President.
But I guess if Warren trusts both men, that should be good enough for everyone, eh...Warren told CNN Sunday evening, “we flat out asked him” if he heard any of the questions. The McCain campaign “confirmed that McCain did not hear or see any of the broadcast” in the motorcade or after he arrived, Ross said.
When asked if McCain overheard anything, Charlie Black, a McCain adviser who was with him at the time, told CNN: "We were in motorcade until 5:30 p.m. ET; then a holding room in another building with no TV."
Warren said, “I trust the integrity of both” candidates, and said he “knew they would abide by the rules.” He joked McCain may not have been in the cone of silence, but “he was in the cone of a Secret Service motorcade”. |

and McQ knows all! Off course he does, he is using special area 51 technologies to beam instructions into your mind! Better get that tinfoil on tight.
God man, do you see what you sound like!? You come off completely unhinged.

Hey McQ, check out this article from CNN about what Obama and McCain were briefed about before hand. Ross says the whole event only came about because of the relationship Warren has with both men. He said they all agreed to assure a “level field, “McCain would not hear the questions or Senator Obama’s answers.” The pastor spoke to each candidate this week, giving the general themes. Warren decided to tell them each the first two questions in advance, about the three wisest people you know, and the biggest moral failings. So they were answering questions that they had time to prepare in advance. So much for that. |

Per this, Obama actually knew more questuions ahead of time than McCain. In addition, according to Ross, Obama knew a third specific question that Warren would ask — the one about a "president’s emergency plan for adoption (Orphans)." "[Warren] felt that since that was basically asking for a commitment, he felt that it was fair to tell them in advance that he was going to ask them that," Ross told me. So Warren told Obama, and planned to tell McCain when McCain arrived at Saddleback, but wasn’t able to because of other distractions. So according to what Ross told me, Obama actually knew one more question in advance than did McCain. |
