Whoops, wrong example

Allahpundit nails Obama about something he said in Virgina recently.

The quote:
“We’ve got to send a clear message to Russia and unify our allies,” Obama told a crowd of supporters in Virginia. “They can’t charge into other countries. Of course it helps if we are leading by example on that point.”
Now anyone with the IQ of warm milk knows he's trying to blame the Iraq war for Russia feeling froggy enough to invade Georgia.

But as Allah points out, that wasn't the example the Russian Foreign Minister used when he laid out the rational for their move into Georgia at all.
Here’s a newsflash, champ: Russia’s foreign minister did indeed invoke a case of U.S. military action in his Journal op-ed the other day, but it wasn’t Bush and the Middle East that he had in mind.
And he's precisely right. Sergey Lavrov never once referenced or even alluded to Iraq. Instead it was another example to which he likened the Russian incursion:
Our military acted efficiently and professionally. It was an able ground operation that quickly achieved its very clear and legitimate objectives. It was very different, for example, from the U.S./NATO operation against Serbia over Kosovo in 1999, when an air bombardment campaign ran out of military targets and degenerated into attacks on bridges, TV towers, passenger trains and other civilian sites, even hitting an embassy.
His claim is the Russians did theirs better.

Now let's see, who was the Commander-in-Chief then?

Invalid argument. We all know that history does not exist prior to Bush stealing the Election from Algore.

Except for the impeachment hearings.

You know, every time Obama opens his mouth on a subject he knows nothing about, he shoves his foot right into said orifice.

The answer is clear: The Emperor has no clothes, and Obama is just not the type of person we need running this country in a time of terrorism and war.

Putting troops along the Iraq border and waiting for 6 months while demanding capitulation from the other side is "charging in"? I bet Obama was one of the guards of Swamp Castle who was surprised when Lancelot attacked.
