I’m willing to believe that this could have happened more than once, and that Obama (or his speechwriters) didn’t get this directly from Canada.
But just like Obama’s "57 states", his "New Pennsylvania" remark, and various others, if the Republicans had done this, it would be all over MSNBC and CNN for the next two weeks. |

If you read Hot Air, apparently the Canadian has said in an email that he wrote to Obama (and Clinton) and made the point that this story needed to be told. That was in answer to a challenge that he’d stolen the story from Obama.
And as specific as politicians like to get when using anecdotes ("like Joe Blow of Blue Balls Arkansas and his 3 kids ...) the "Indiana" handwave gives one pause as well. For a guy who claims to hate companies who send jobs overseas, what more perfect an opportunity to highlight that than by naming the company and the town in Indiana it had so effected?

It is quite apparent from this catch that Barry-O is both fundamentally dishonest and not very bright. This bit of "speech reuse" dovetails nicely with all of his "As I have said repeatedly in the past..." BS lines in that they are all proven false almost instantly in "internet time". That he thinks he can continue to get away with such fakery and outright lying is simply mind-boggling. |

As a native Hoosier I did love getting to watch Clinton and Barack bumbling around my state doing "Midwestern" things like drinking beer and whiskey during the primaries.
What you are failing to understand is that both of these guys are telling the truth. They are talking about the same machine! First it got packed up and sent to Kenora from Indiana and then the Chinese got it from the Canadians. Some day it will break the heart of the father and son team that worked on it in the mill in China for years before having to watch it get boxed up and sent to Tanzania. |
