Hate, smears and violence? Neither side have room to talk
Posted by: McQ on Sunday, October 12, 2008

I can't tell you how glad I will be to get back to writing about the global warming hoax, or energy policy or the health care debate. I've had it up to here with this election.

But, that said, could we all step back a bit and take a breath?

The left is trying to paint the right as "hate filled and violent" and want's the McCain/Palin ticket to take ownership of what some supporters have said or done.

Yet it has little to say about vandals who've spray-painted graffiti on a GOP office in SC saying “Republican means slavery” or the two mental midgets who threw a Molotov cocktail at a McCain yard sign in Oregon.

I've always been of the opinion actions speak louder than words, and the only one's spray painting hateful slogans and committing acts of violence and destruction these last few days haven't been righties.

Here's a clue for both sides - politics is about passion. It also has a tendency to give voice to frustration. And no it isn't right or good to yell hateful things, anymore than it is to vandalize or bomb the property of political opponents.

Both sides have absolutely no room to talk about the other side in that regard.

None.

So why not just cool the accusations, settle the dust and get on with trying to "differentiate" each opponent one from the other?

23 days and counting.

Actually, "neither side has room to talk" - well, it seems that one side actually does have room to talk.

The ACTUAL Dem. candidate has sent thug squads to silence radio shows, and has exhorted his minions to "get in the faces" of republicans.

So maybe this needs editing a drop?

Really? Would you prefer to be yelled at or firebombed? That’s a weired bit of moral equivilance you constructed there, seeing as 1 is protected speech and the other are crimes.

Or are you prepping for the incoming fairness doctrine/internet regulation ;)

Though I well agree with your "had it up to here" statement!

But don’t worry...1 month, this campaign ends.

And the 2012 campaign begins :)

Hard to disagree with this. We’ve made progress here, after years of pretending that the only mentally deranged and hateful people in the world were all Democrats and liberals.

The conservative websites you read sure aren’t going to bring up the right-wing incidents unless forced to. Actually, Obama offices have been broken into and vandalized. Example:

funny how leftists think that anything that does not agree with them are republican or non libertarian.
Hard to disagree with this.

There’s a difference between the two candidates?...hardly. But still a McCain-win is preferable to an B. Hussein Obama win. I can’t see an arab-american as the next president of the US after the attack of 9-11 and while we’re engaged in a war on terror in which western civilization is fighting for its very existence. but hey! what the media wants the media gets!! Democrats know the importance of this election and they’re willing to pull out all stops. If republicans can’t fight fire with fire and even when they have the truth on their side then they can still hide behind their principles and take the minority positions in congress if the democrats allow it. I swear. If republicans don’t get up off their duffs and do some serious fighting, then hell with them.

sure guys. Whatever. You think Republicans aren’t angry at the stupid responses by the alleged republican leaders?? First they allow the media to choose the republican candidate and ignore the base, then John McCain endorses the democrat candidate. And I"M the mole?? If you think repubublican voters aren’t angry then you’re not paying attention. Sure, rest on your principles again and you can lose again. You don’t want to attack the opposition? fine then. get ready for President B. Hussein Obama. I was sent a comparison by our local republican chairman and on too many of the stands, the candidates held the same position. I"M SURPRISED they NOT ON THE SAME TICKET!! I’m not happy. Yeah, if McCain can manage not to do one more staggerinly stupid thing, then i’ll be pulling the lever for him...God help us. As bad as he is, he’s still a better choice than B. Hussein Obama.

It’s the Obama’s liberal media who is spreading the hate and fear. What do you expect from someone who is 1/2 Arabic who started his political career in the living room of a terrorist? More hate and more fear. AMERICA NEEDS TO WAKE OR ELSE THE TERRORISTS WILL TAKE OVER AMERICA.

So am I the only one who thinks it would be kinda funny if Obama loses because of racism, and it’s not even anti-black racism? Where is all this Obama is an Arab stuff coming from?

Is it too late to get new candidates?
