Again, the idiocy about having talks without "preconditions" is that tyrannical regimes like Iraq can insist upon those types of issues. To negotiate you must be willing and prepared to let the other side have something. Even from a position of absolute strength negotiations at least implies the survival of the weakest party.
What is Barrack Obama willing to give the Iranians? Appeasement begins when you give up something for nothing. Neville Chamberlain gave up Czechoslovakia to get "Peace in Our Times". What is Barrack Obama willing to negotiate away to get Iran to "recognize" Israel? What tangible benefits are we willing to give away to accept more promises from nations like North Korea and Iran?
Any authoritative negotiations with Iran must, as a precondition, recognize Israel’s right to exist. That issue must never be on the table otherwise you are going to be negotiation that "point".

Whatever. During the debate Obama proved what an idiot he was by misunderstanding the difference between "preparation" and preconditions.
Again, to negotiate means that you need to give the other party in the negotiations something. If you allow them to come to the table without preconditions on their outrageous positions you will simply be negotiating these preposterous positions. There positons will be that they will stop calling for the destruction of Israel if you give them SOMETHING...something economic to help their flailing economy.
What else would you have to negotiate? THe Iranians, without preconditions, are going to put those ridiculous items on the table and ONLY those ridiculous items on the table. We would have to be willing to give them tangible value just to get them to move the agenda along.
That a presidential candidate would not understand this is very disconcerting. Anyone with Obama’s position on this issue is not fit to be President of the United States. |

So, what is the problem with Iran’s preconditions?
1. Remove US forces from the Middle East region. Obama has all but promised to leave the area, waving the white flag of surrender for all to see, proving the US is on the new path to enlightenment.
2. Discontinue US support for the Zionist regime. Do you think Obambi will hesitate one second in cutting Israel off at the knees? Let there be one incident with ____ (fill in the blank) and the Enlightened One’s Adminitration will shoot down support for Israel faster than you can say "The Shah of Iran" (Remember Carter?). The Messiah would not dare aggravate the support he enjoys form the far left by continuing support for the only true democracy in the Middle East.
I’ll make a wager - Obama will be sitting down at the table with Allonmydinnerjacket within 12 months of his inauguration, Iran’s preconditions having been met. Any takers? |
