Actually, the mask hasn’t slipped at this point, they’ve thrown the mask away and they’re being very open about it.

Perfect. I love the Democrats. They over reach so quickly and so audaciously. John Kerry would make a perfect Secretary of State for Obama....wandering around the world bloviating about the need for U.S. military involvement in areas of the world that have no strategic value to us. My advice to President Obama: Throw the mask away...bring on your best and brightest...fly to the sun.
Because the sooner he does, the sooner the Republicans will remember their core values and come storming back to power ala Newt Gringrich. |

I don’t say that facetiously. I would not be surprised if this is not the reflection of "putting Right all the wrongs associated with George Bush" as basically a cornerstone of Obama’s policies, Especially his foreign policy.
They are going to use Blame Bush for the next 4 years, and beyond if they can make it there. |

Daschle is sure to get a cabinet post (he helped plan the Obama campaign, I believe in part to keep the Democratic party from being Clinton dominated). I’ve heard talk of Daschle as Secretary of State too. He would be good in the role — tough as nails, but talks gently.

That is because we do not know how to spend it correctly. Only politicians, aided by public spirited advisers from the private sector (aka lobbyists), can target these federal dollars to where they will provide the correct stimulus to evoke the correct response (increased campaign contributions & good jobs for good wages for political hacks). |
