A Perfect Economic Advisor for Obama
Posted by: McQ on Sunday, October 26, 2008

I wonder if he has room for the "Early Show's" Maggie Rodriguez:
MAGGIE RODRIGUEZ: We have some good news this morning in these tough economic times. The average price of a gallon of gas has dropped below three dollars. This morning, AAA says that gas is $2.92 a gallon. That's the national average, down from an all-time high of $4.11 just this past July.

And we are attributing this to of course the price of oil. Soaring oil prices are going down and so are gas prices. But this is not affecting grocery bills, Chris, and that's because as long as there is demand, these grocers, they price their products based on that and not what they should be pricing them on.
Unanswered by Ms. Rodriguez is exactly "what" instead "they" should be pricing them on.

In the coming "spread the wealth" economy, I don't believe it is too tough to guess.

I can see it now mandated pricing:

"Cost to produce + 2%"

only to be replace soon after with

"Cost to produce + 1%".

And as with all Marxist nations, it will finally become

"Cost to produce or we will shoot you"

I guess "big grocer" is next up on the Obama enemies list now that "big oil" is suddenly not as big an issue, and they already have plans to destroy "greedy hedge fund managers" talk-radio republicans and "the heartless pharmaceutical companies" via their 401(k), fairness doctrine, and healthcare schemes.
Chris, and that’s because as long as there is demand, these grocers, they price their products based on that and not what they should be pricing them on
Oh, and lets remember this quote while they’re busy trying to drive out the one major chain that actually does price groceries cheaper for the average family (Wal Mart of course)

Actually, it is more like "Produce, or we will shoot you."

"If necessary, you may use a white cloth dampened with a mild solution of soapy water to gently wash the shade,"

Words to live by.

They tried that in the Middle Ages. And what a time of prosperity it was!

In related news, Obama’s anti-plague health plan includes free beak-shaped masks full of herbs for everyone.

whether or not we want to continue to invest that $80 billion for a policy that’s not generating what we now say it should."
"What it should be"

"What we say it should"

Do these f**kwits actually think they can run an economy by personal fiat?

Does Maggie Rodriguez, aka the nitwit, have evidence to back up her claims? Does clueless Maggie Rodriguez have any analysis to show that the prices should come down?

Farmers spend $’s on high priced oil products to grow their produce in the spring, summer and some of the Fall. It now grown and harvested. That cost is inherent in the produce. When should they lower the price and by how much, Maggie "the economically illiterate" Rodriguez?

Maggie Rodriguez is a moron with a big mouth having the ear of a bunch of clowns in the media who think it is important to sell ideas, any ideas, at the expense of commonsense or an iota of good judgment. But the Early Show is hardly a place to get hard facts or or realistic information by which to make decisions on much more than whether to carry an umbrella today. It’s an entertainment program.

Any network that has as its chief correspondent Harry the Palestinian Smith, who every time he even mentions Obama comes in his pants and has to change his bloomers, cannot be serious when it comes to economics.

Let us remember that when McCain mentioned lifting the ban on offshore drilling every MSM nutbag, from CNN to MSDNC to CBS to ABC and all else, all came out with "what, is he kidding? That won’t lower gas prices one thin dime."

The emergency was there - and the MSM was against drilling. And, to my mind, the idjits who will vote for the Clown Obama basically say that they like expensive gasoline.

Now, of course, with the economy wrecked and gas prices going down, the MSM will find that the emergency is over - except for that old "climate change" canard that even McCain bought into. Now we will have a mad rush to see who can spend more to make things "green" all over, despite the fact that when (not if) the economy does recover, gas prices will start to go right back up again.

And then Obama can blame who for it - OPEC? George W. Bush? Obama’s political soulmate Hugo Chavez?

I know that I will never see it, but imagine in 2009-10, when the economy starts to recover slowly, and gas inches back up above $3.00 a gallon, or maybe higher. Who in the MSM will ask, "Hey - what has the Obama administration done about this problem since getting elected?"

The question won’t be asked, and the answer won’t be looked for, because Obama will do nothing in the next four years but make us pay more to fight the falsehood of "climate change."

And the Republicans, frightened at being labeled as "environmental whackos," will go right along with the Left and tax the sh!t out of all of us to pay for a problem that does not exist.

My, will the next four years be fun, as America continues down the path of destruction. I can smell the Roman Empire burning at my feet.

In bad years, farmers don’t make a profit. In good years, they won’t be allowed to make a profit.

I hope these people can afford to miss a few meals.

" these grocers, they price their products based on that and not what they should be pricing them on"

Not only do the oil companies conspire to keep prices high, but so do the grocery chains. Personally, I think books are priced way more than they should be. Probably a conspiracy between Barnes and Noble, Walden Books, etc. Being a conspiracy nut seems to be a requirement for the left.
