Stupid Column of the Day
Posted by: McQ on Wednesday, November 26, 2008

It comes to us from Detroit Free Press columnist Rochelle Riley who calls on Nancy Pelosi to start impeachment proceedings against George Bush to save the economy - or something like that:
If Congress moves quickly and forces the president to focus on impeachment, then he won’t have so much time to push through last-minute regulatory changes that will continue to hurt our country and our ideals.
Yeah, you see, apparently this administration is a linear one, only able to do one thing at a time, like focus on impeachment or ruin "the country and our ideals", but not both.

The far left's wet dream about impeaching Bush is slipping away for good and they're pretty desperate to find any reason, no matter how loony, to urge Congressional leaders to salve their hate of Bush.

What in the world are they going to do with themselves when he's gone?

He won’t be gone for a long time. The left just recently stopped the full-time demonization of Reagan. That started ramping down about the same time Bush said "misunderestimate."

Wow! What an idea!

Since Bush is on his way out in 50 days, it would take that long just to have impeachment hearings.

Here is my take: since Bush will be out of office anyway, what say we start impeachment proceedings against someone to whom it will count? How about...

THE IMPEACHMENT OF BARACK OBAMA!

Since the Left screamed to impeach Bush for imaginary crimes he never committed, how about we scream about crimes Obama may have committed before he even gets into office? What a idea!

Thus, I am calling today for the impeachment of Obama, for the following crimes:

1. Trying to take over the government in a manufactured coup, running an "Office of the President Elect" which has no power.

2. Nominating Eric Holder, a known criminal, as Attorney General. (We can call Marc Rich as a witness to how mch he paid Holder to get him that pardon.)

3. Refusing to sap the rich in tax increases, which is just one campaign promise he has broken.

4. Using his minions in Ohio to spy on Joe the Plumber. (There’s a constitutional question in there somewhere - we will need a real scholar to see what Obama did and when he did it.)

5. Sending his children to private schools, when he said during the campaign that he would send them to public schools.

6. Threatening to impose a "first doggie" on the American people. (Definitely a constitutional question...perhaps the First Amendment? The Second?)

I bet there are far more insidious crimes I can think of if given the time.

But we need to get on this quickly. After all, it is plain to see what happens when someone opposes a Democrat. Just last week, John Dingell (D-Mich.) had the audacity to try to keep his seat as chairman of the House Energy Committee; yesterday, he was hospitalized with an "unknown illness." See the connection? See the fear? Can you feel it? Can you smell it?

We should send letters to Capitol Hill ("The Capitol on a Hill") asking - no, demanding - impeachment hearings against Obama. After all, they would be based in the same delusion as the Left has been calling for these past eight years.

Yeah, we get to have to look and listen to Hillary for the next 4 years. Is there a bigger crime?

Making us look at and listen to Michelle?

I don’t think that it will be long before there is good cause to impeach Obama.

For instance, what happens when some intrepid journalist, of which there are so many in the mainstream media, finds some source who had a hand in laundering ChiCom money into the Obama campaign by arrangement with the campaign? (I mean "what happens" other than the untimely deaths of both the intrepid journalist and the source.)

I’m going to take a relaxed position on Michelle unless and until she is put in charge of something other than the usual "learn to read" program.

Maybe it would be a good move on her part to cut a CD singing some of her favorite songs titled "The Softer Side of Michelle." Perhaps some oldie hits by Public Enemy. Proceeds to charity.

Well, at least there are mitigating circumstances to these crimes: we’ve seen and heard the last of Joe Biden for four years.

Well, yeah, that’s the thing, isn’t it? I’ve been saying a long time that the vast majority of Obama supporters do not base their support in fact, but rather in hope and emotion. That’s why they were unswayed by mere fact. Again, we quote Stacy McCain;
Such irrational expectations are inevitably followed by disillusionment. No prediction of what the next four years might bring is safer than this: The yawning gap between Hope and reality will produce a bumper crop of ex-Democrats.
...
Already, their disillusionment is beginning, the Internet rumbling with discontent as Obama staffs his administration with Washington insiders, Clinton cronies and even, perhaps, Hillary Clinton herself. Many more will be disheartened to discover that there is no magic in Obama’s economic plan, a patchwork of warmed-over Keynesian "pump-priming" claptrap as stale as the memory of Hubert Humphrey.
So, the answer to Bruce’s question is simple; What will they do with themselves? They’re going to turn on themselves like a pack of rabid sled dogs, that’s what.

Why don’t they start a generic, John Doe impeachment? That way, the next time a Republican is elected, he/she will already be impeached, saving a lot of time and resources. It’s easy.

"Whereas , being a member of an organization devoted to greed, racism, and persecution of the helpless, will commit grave high crimes and misdemeanors against the people of the United States,

Whereas , being a member of a facistic, imperialistic, and militaristic organization will commit crimes and atrocities against the peace loving peoples of the world,...."

Perhaps the RICO statute will be of help.

HAHAHAHA

Funny.

The only way they leave the Dems is if they go to an even further-left fringe.

No.
History gives us two examples in the last few elections.
Nixon after Johnson.
Reagan after Carter.

THE IMPEACHMENT OF BARACK OBAMA!
Too late, y’all beat the Bush haters, the impeachement is already being pushed, pre-inauguration.

On Facebook, an "Impeach Barack Obama" group has attracted more than 700 members

You can even Buy this premium quality IMPEACH OBAMA, patriotic Bumper sticker.

Here’s a whole e-commerce site dedicated to selling y’all Obama impeachement gear.

And if you google "impeach obama" in quotes, you 677,000 hits.

What are we lefty’s going to do to stay ahead, pre-reserve www.impeachpalin.com?

I’m not surprised though, as much as Bush got bashed, it’s hard to argue he didn’t deserve it, at least AFTER 9/11, and these are the same folks that made Clinton hating a cottage industry.

I’ll bet Ann Coulter is already working on her first salvo in the war on Obama, regardless of policy, decisions, effectiveness, or popularity.

I have a pretty good idea....my guess is the liberal illuminati will stand around scratching their asses wondering who else they can blame for their incompetent decisions...I’m sure they will come up with someone...probably that Republican on Obama’s team....
