Jesse Jr gets my vote, only because I too will spend the next 4 years crying...
I suspect, however, it will be for vastly different reasons. |

He should know better. I become less sure of that with each day. |

You STILL didn’t use the Harry Reid "the war is lost" quote.
That one is a winner, hands down. |

No, McQ wants to place it in competition with the Decade award where Harry’s "The war is lost"
will come up directly against
Baghdad Bob "I triple guarantee you, there are no American soldiers in Baghdad."
(I really think an honorable mention should go to Bob for incredible creativity and I’d like to suggest it now so we can get a little shovel statue ordered and made up in time - here’s the quote - "We have destroyed 2 tanks, fighter planes, 2 helicopters and their shovels - We have driven them back." )

James - that’s because he said it in 2007.
But don’t despair - he has a whole category dedicated to that statement, as in "The Harry Reid "the war is lost" Award" for the dumbest statement about the war in Iraq in 2008. |

Lightworker gets my vote.......and this is the only place he ever can get a vote from me.
Monumentally stupid to utter this during a campaign |

Can Joe Biden get a special lifetime acheivement award? I thought for sure his nomination would be the one about President Roosevelt going on TV in 1929 to talk about the Depression. There’s just too many from him to choose from!
I voted for Reid since his quote was the only one that had consequences outside everyone thinking him a moron. |

If it were viewed in isolation, Bush’s comment would win, but he has a rich history of mangling the english language. Pelosi’s comment reveals stunning stupidity, especially for a person deemed by her colleagues the best person to fill the Speaker of the House position. |

Spoiled for choice, but I had to go with Pelosi. Most of the rest were just blather, albeit some damned egotistical blather in a couple of cases. But hers betrayed an absolute and fundamental lack of understanding of just what the hell she was talking about. |

I went for Pelosi for basically the same reasons as what Achillea said. The rest are standard politician crap. Well, Biden’s is pretty dumb too, but I think it’s a little more of an understandable gaffe. |

I voted for Bush, just because of the corresponding damage. Reid runs a close second, but the markets would have dropped when AIG problem became public anyway.
I like Obama’s quote. I have paraphrased it a lot, since temperatures have dropped significantly since he made that statement. I claim that was the moment that global warming was over, and I’ll keep using it till March at least ;)

No contest: "This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow."
T-minus ten days and counting until that delusional fool takes charge of the national security apparatus of the most powerful country in the history of mankind.
Apprehension and dread. |

Apprehension and dread. Yeah, but it’s the kind of apprehension and dread you can believe in. |

How about an "all of the above" answer?
