I say the more exposure the better. Kinda like the point made during the Roberts hearing that NOW, Planned Parenthood, NARAL and other feminist groups said exactly the same things about Justices Stephens and Souter when they were nominated that they are now saying about Roberts, (e.g. "will turn back the clock", etc., etc.) Stephens and Souter are now, of course, two of the more liberal Justices on the court.
This constant repetition makes these folks sound like the knee jerk idiotarians they are. Cindy certainly qualifies for that label as well. |

Totally offpoint...but I was in a London chatroom tonight, there was only a few people on there, the most vocal was an American. He was going on and on about how America only bombs countries, how he was embarrassed to be American, etc. But he was doing this in the middle of conversation he was having with a British woman. I was livid. I said if it’s so terrible why don’t you leave. I called him an "asshole" and left.
Totally cowardly on my part, but I didn’t feel like getting in a pissing match on a foreign chat site. What the fuck is wrong with these people? It’s one thing to run down your country here, but to do it to try and impress a bunch of Brits and pick up a chick...UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH! |

While watching some footage of Cindy Sheehan, I noticed she was wearing a Tau cross - the symbol of the Secular Franciscans which is a Catholic group of lay people devoted to living in the model of St. Francis. A while back, I sent Cindy this poem of St. Francis to remind her how to actually work for peace. Perhaps we can all use this as a reminder from time to time.

We can estimate the length of Sheehan’s exposure by looking at a similar case - David Brock. When he nominally switched from conservative to liberal, he was the toast of the media for about nine months.
It eventually became obvious that he was not very bright and was an extreme opportunist. We don’t hear any more about him. Cindy has a few more months to go, and then she’ll be the answer to a Trivial Pursuit question. |

In my dreams she does. In my opinion, she should have much much more time on camera and in front of microphones, yes please. She should become the most widely-quoted Democrat in America. She should even be widely heard to make remarks that are more than twenty seconds in length, so that Americans can better appreciate the depth and breadth of her thinking.
