The vaunted Clinton attack machine is all dressed up—and you are saying it has nowhere to go? It won’t like that.
Will the Sid Blumenthals, the James Carvilles, the Lanny Davises, and the many other well trained attack dogs of the Clinton machine just fold their tents and go home. Or do they desert the sinking ship and work for Obama?
After a lifetime of preparing herself to be US President—through much worse setbacks than this—Ms. Rodham will not go gently into the obscure night. |

I don’t think the fat lady has sung yet, but I’ve been wondering. What happens to the Clintons when Hillary fails here?
I guess Hillary will remain a Senator. But for how long? And Bill will probably sulk around and hope for an ambassadorship. |

Face facts. Americans do not like Hillary. If she can’t get the job, Bill will stop liking her. Hillary is an older Rosie O’Donnell without the charm. |

I always thought Hillary was overrated. I think the far right wants to imagine a kind of evil Clinton supermachine that has almost magical (albeit black magic) qualities. Nah, she’s just a politician, and her strengths don’t fit the mood of the country right now. I think some on the right really wanted another Clinton to focus upon. Ironically, the mood of the electorate is much like 1992, a year when the Democratic candidate was criticized for lack of experience and substance. That didn’t seem a problem to her then. |

Franks writes of Hillary:She is not Bill. Bill was not Bill.
The two of them are about equal in not being Bill.
People who could sit and listen to Bill as if he were making sense can do the same for her.
Her immediate problem is to remain calm, and act like a lady, as her thugs straighten Obama out.

The Clinton machine, Boris, is the most smashmouth political organization that exists, as Barack Obama is about to find out. You like to talk about the power of "mafias." Well, the Clintons run the closest thing to a mafia as exists in American politics as has ever existed. |

One of her "strengths" is her ruthlessness. And don’t think for one minute that her Mafia aren’t looking at the little conspiracy theory at HuffPo (assuming they didn’t arrange for it) and going "Hmmmmm. How hard could Blackwater logos and badges be to fake? No Obama. Bush takes the fall. Sounds like a win-win."
NB: my family is from Arkansas. We’ve seen them up close. |
