Do the Clinton really want to start down that road? If so, maybe then they can explain what they were doing in Berkeley during the summer of ’71. |

I am a republican and will vote that way in 08. I am happy to say that no republican that I know has had anything to say about Senator Obama’s race. Even the good old boys in Texas would have voted for Colin Powell or Condi Rice if they were nominated. Obama won Iowa and almost broke even in New Hampshire (two very white states). He is likable. My issues include opposition to abortion, gay marraige and higher taxes (yes even the rich), so I could not vote for him. He is the only democrat that is not saying we need to switch entirely to universal health care. I think there are many of us that like the health care we currently have. I seems to me that the democrats have the racist in the closet. Even a lot of uncle Toms too. What is it with these comments calling Obama a boy, a fanticiser, Sidney Portier? It seems to us republicans that it is the democrats that have a glass cieling for blacks. Does Hillary Clinton think she is going to win with just the Jerry Springer, trailer park democrats? Just Pathetic! |

What black Democrats fear is the loss of White Liberal largesse and the Clintons have always been White Liberals heavily packed with largesse for blacks. What the Clintons fear is that blacks will switch to Obama out of pride. What the Clintons are doing, therefore, is sending a signal to other White Liberals that the blacks are acting up and need to be put in their place (i.e., Obama must be rejected at the primary polls) while trying to at once both threaten and placate blacks. "We’ve got a lot of goodies for you but you’ll never get them if you switch to Obama." It’s a difficult maneuver, but nothing that practiced parasites like the Clintons can’t pull off.
But you can see how this sort of tears the nighty off of White Liberal pretensions regarding race and gender. Hillary’s vagina monologue is exactly that: it does the talkin’ and the black folk better get to listenin’, real hard.
I can sympathize with blacks in this situation, but not with Obama, who I think is a completely transparent piker who is trying to out-phony the Clintons. |

I’m finding a whole new outlook on race relations that doesn’t bode well for the black community.
They used to call it bigotry when dislike for "the way you thought things were" weren’t necessarily backed up by anything but a "gut feeling". |

It is sad and embarrassing to see prominent black leaders such as Jesse Jackson and Bob Johnson, and others, "step & fetching" for the Clintons, like good house Negroes. I guess their hands have been so deep in the Clintons’ pockets over the years, that the Clintons own them. With all their talk about civil rights, it’s a shame that they can’t back an electible African-American candidate for presidency because they are afraid to cross "Master" Clinton. I will never look at these black so-called leaders the same again. I am ashamed of them. |

That’s most likely because he stopped. Could be. Or the fact that he had Dr. Evil as his VP. |
