Not sure whether this constitutes more government. It’s not clear whether this agency replaces the existing state agencies for licensing and regulating boxing, or merely supplements them.
I’ll agree this isn’t the job of the federal government, but an independent, nation-wide authority on the licensing and operation of a sport isn’t a bad thing, in that it creates an equal standard for every venue.
