Groundwork for the
pre-election: "Vote for Obama or you’re a racist"
and
post-election: "McCain only won because America is a racist country", or the long form: "McCain only won because America is a racist country and therefore doesn’t have moral authority to be the valid President"
All BDS traces back to the Florida voting debacle in 2000. It is necessary to invalidate McCain’s legitimacy as President on some level if you are going to replace BDS with MDS. |

Question for the audience:
"Vote Obama or you’re a racist" will resonate with what percentage of USA white voters (whatever their party)in the solitude of the voting booth?
A) 5-10%
B) 10-20%
C) 20-30%
D) 30-40%
E) More than 40%
This sounds like a "bring it on" proposition to me.

I don’t know, but if McCain wasn’t running, I wonder who he would vote for?
There are enough people who are slaves to Political Correctness and terrified of the racist charge, it will matter some.
What will matter more, is that it displaces and to some degree neutralizes valid discussion about Obama’s history, relationships and beliefs.

I haven’t noticed any polls asking blacks whether their primary votes were affected by race... |

So long as the black vote breaks 90/10 to the black candidate, why is it "racist" if the white vote breaks 60/40 for the white candidate? |

I haven’t noticed any polls asking blacks whether their primary votes were affected by race... Well, given this:So long as the black vote breaks 90/10 to the black candidate, Why would we need a poll? |

Why would we need a poll? We don’t need a poll to know which way blacks are voting, but it would be interesting to ask whether their votes were motivated by race.

What’s sauce for the gander is sauce for the goose, so to speak. You obviously haven’t gotten the memo on White Privilege from the Multiculturalist’s handbook. Only Whites can be racist. |

Latest take on the NYT webpage headline 10:45 EDT:
Clinton Wins West Virginia, With Race a Factor By PATRICK HEALY 17 minutes ago Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s lopsided victory over Senator Barack Obama was fueled by strong support from white, working-class voters.
I guess McQ had this one called on the money. |

Look, Michelle Obama is already ten deep in the "angriest millionaire in America" YouTube department. She makes the neo-fascist Keith Olbermann look like a second-stringer on the Two Minutes Hate squad.
Voters don’t vote for or against the spouse of the candidate, but when the spouse raises questions about the candidate, as in the "what does this say about him" category, watch out. Hillary had much to do with the ’94 Congressional wipe out, and it forced Bill back to the middle for ’96. Remember the shift from "gays in the military" to "school uniforms?"
The Democratic Party is currently being wagged by its nutjob base, with an assist from the white guilt liberal wing. As you can see, that doesn’t play with moderates and Reagan Democrats, and come election day it might not be playing with the white guilt crowd either.
Obama will have a hard time getting to his 45%. He has no bona fides to back a move to the middle: he’s going to try to talk his way there. The Clintons always maintained a strong connection to their faux centrism, as with the Democratic Leadership Council, as phony as that was.
Obama’s idea of the middle is Ted Kennedy and John Kerry. |

But what percentage of Obama voters voted FOR him because he shares the views of his preacher? I’ll ballpark that at a third. The other two-thirds of his voters probably buy into the idea that he has divorced himself from Wright. Humankind cannot bear very much reality, to quote T.S. Eliot. |
