Their purpose is to give some insight as to why people voted the way they did. But here is a smattering of the fist exit poll results: 56% oppose the bailout bill. 76% feel the country is on the wrong track. 58% of white male respondents in VA voted for McCain 52% of late deciders in IA and 54% in OH voted for Obama 43% say government is doing too much 67% are worried about affording health care 68% support offshore drilling 70% predict their taxes will go up under Obama 38% think Palin is qualified to be president 73% disapprove of the job Congress is doing 57% feel Obama is in touch with people like them, vice 40% for McCain 58% feel Obama has the right judgment to be president, vice 49% for McCain 85% are worried about the direction of the economy for the next year So, make of that what you will.
